The 23rd Annual BSN Sports KPA Vegas Pro Summer League (July 5-7) was recently completed at the Las Vegas Convention Center. Here are results of the event.

"Tysean Powell flat came to play in the event. He averaged 16.4 ppg and 9.5 rpg in 5 games in the KPA. He also had 21 points and 10 rebounds in the finals. I love Powell's game because he is versatile and can play the 4, 5, or 3 in some situations. He also is strong and athletic. This guy will be a big time pick up for someone overseas. He earned the MVP with consistent play for the entire league" Michael Stinnett (KPA Director).

"Kevin Young was great for this event. He is a high character player (he took  teams unifroms home to wash) who can flat play and understands the game. He is excellent in the pick and roll game. He can shoot the 3, post, and has a good mid-range game. He can play at a HIGH level overseas. I highly recommend this player to anyone looking for a versatile forward" Michael Stinnett

KPA Vegas Average: 16.5 ppg, 11.0 rpg (rebounding leader), 3 shot blocks per game
"Cunningham is one of the best athletes I have seen in the event in 23 years. He is a quick jumper who can defend any position and also rebound the ball on both ends of the floor. He is a big time shot blocker! He has a big time motor! He can score on the block with a very good jump hook and drop step. He also showed the ability to hit the 12 to 15 footer. I highly recommend him to overseas teams at a good level" Michael Stinnett.

"Collins is an athletic combo guard who is very long. He is a winner. He played with great enthusiasm throughout the event. This guy can help a team at a good level in Europe at the guard position. He can play the 2, 1, or even the 3. He shot it and got to the rim well. He is also a big time defender who made some big time defensive plays. He is solid" Michael Stinnett

"Gladden is in great shape! This guy is a very skilled player who has really improved his perimeter game in Spain. He can play 4/3 or 3/4. He can post and shoot the 3 and did both very well in the event. He also is very good at rebounding the ball on the defensive end and pushing down the floor. He was all league last year and this year was MUCH better. I highly recommend him to a good level team overseas" Michael Stinnett

"Aaron Williams is a solid all around player. He can play the 3 or 4 (very versatile and fundamentally sound). I really liked his ability to score the ball in a variety of ways (perimeter, post, or drive) and his toughness. He has a strong body and is very athletic. He is a great pick up for a team needing an all around forward" Michael Stinnett

"Terrell is a solid shooting guard who played with great energy and passion in the event. He can shoot it from deep and also get to the rim. He also was solid on the defensive end in the event. Any team looking for a solid shooting guard with Gleague experience he would be a great pick up" Michael Stinnett

"McPherson can play! He can run the PG well or if you need a scorer at the guard position he can do that as well. He is very quick with a fundamental game. He can really shoot it with range and get to the rim. He is perfect for a team needing an all around combo guard" Michael Stinnett

"Wallace was one of the top 3 PG's in the event. He came into the event in great shape and showed why he was an NAIA All American. He can run a team well and really understands the game. He can shoot with range, and score it with mid-range or drives. He is an excellent defender who comes up with big steals when needed. I highly recommend him to team needing a good smart guard" Michael Stinnett

"Brito coming off of a great year in Germany was the glue to KPA Asia team that won the event. He ran the PG and got everyone involved (leader in assists for KPA). He is excellent in pick and roll game. He really understands situations. He is perfect for team wanting a leader at the PG position who can do a little of it all" Michael Stinnett

He played great in the big games for KPA Asia. He will finish up school until December and be available.
